MoveSpring does not sync data directly from the Samsung Health app at this time, but not to worry! Samsung Heath users can still sync their data to participate in MoveSpring challenges. Please see the alternative options below to learn how to sync your data to MoveSpring.

Note: We plan to offer a future integration with Google's Health Connect app to sync Samsung Health totals in to MoveSpring. Please click here for updates on this integration.

While we work to build a new Samsung Health integration with Health Connect, you can still participate in MoveSpring challenges by using one of the following options below:

You can download Google Fit for free from the Google Play store and set Google Fit as your device in MoveSpring. Google Fit will allow you to use your phone as a pedometer and will track steps, distance, and minutes totals for you. Once you've downloaded Google Fit and created an account there, you can connect Google Fit to MoveSpring.

For Galaxy Watch4 and Watch5 series users:

You can also download Google Fit on your Galaxy Watch to track data directly on your watch to send to Google Fit. Learn how to track your fitness activity with Wear OS by Google here.

If your challenge admins have manual activity entry enabled for your challenge, you'll be able to add activities directly into your MoveSpring account. Manual activity entry allows you to manually enter your steps from Samsung Health into MoveSpring up to 7 days back.

Some of our users have reported success with the third party app Health Sync which sends data from Samsung Health to Google Fit. With this option you will download Health Sync, link it to your existing Google Fit account, then connect the Google Fit app as your device in MoveSpring. 

We cannot guarantee that Health Sync will accurately and reliably sync your Samsung Health data to Google Fit. It’s also important to note that the Health Sync app is not free. After a free one-week trial, Health Sync requires a one-time purchase of $2.99 (current pricing may differ). The Withings Health Mate app offers the option to sync your Samsung Health totals into their app. Once totals are synced to Withings Health Mate, you can connect MoveSpring to your Withings account to pull in your totals. Learn more about setting up this option here.

MoveSpring cannot guarantee that the connection from Samsung Health to Withings Health Mate will reliably sync. We can only sync the steps, distance, and active minutes data that are showing in the Withings account you’ve connected to MoveSpring.
