Joining challenges just got easier

Users can now find and join challenges from the dashboard. To join from the dashboard, users will scroll to the Challenges section of the dashboard and tap the blue Join/Create button on the right. This will pull up a list of all available challenges. Your challenge will show up in this list if it is set to Public when you create a challenge. Only upcoming and started challenges will show in this list. Completed challenges will not be shown.

How to create public challenges

To enable joining from dashboard, set your challenge as “Public” in Step 1 of creating a new challenge. By default, all new challenges are automatically set as “Public.” If you don’t want all users to find and join a challenge themselves, then you will need to switch your challenge to “Hidden.”

After you've created your challenge, you can also adjust whether your challenge is set to public or hidden from the challenge dashboard in the MoveSpring Admin Center:

All the ways to join a challenge

In summary, users can join challenges in 4 ways:

  • Clicking “Join” button from the app dashboard and joining a challenge in the list. Note: only active and upcoming challenges that are public will appear in this list.

  • By clicking on a challenge invite link that is shared by an admin, usually via email.

  • By clicking on an in-app challenge invite shared by an admin, directly in the MoveSpring app.

  • Admins manually adding users to a challenge in the Admin Center.
