Creating a sense of community and social motivation is key to achieving success and engagement within your wellness program. Our chat feature allows your users to message and connect with one another within the MoveSpring app.

We've seen great success in clients enabling chat to create a sense of community. It's great for groups with multiple locations or remote employees as it offers users a space to connect and interact with each other around wellbeing. Users can share photos of themselves getting their steps in, send motivational messages cheering each other on, share personal successes, and even chat about new recipes and healthy habits they’re trying out.

Types of Chat

There are a few different types of chat available within the app:

Challenge & Team Chat

Each new challenge you create will have a corresponding chatroom. When running a team challenge, a private chatroom will be created for each team as well. As an admin, you can view challenge chats from the admin center, and you can also post challenge updates or engaging prompts to get the conversation going. Learn more here.

Monthly Step Goal Chat

If you have monthly step goal enabled, a corresponding chat thread will be available at the start of each month to allow all users with a goal set to chat with each other. As an admin you can view & manage each month's chat from the admin center. Learn more here.

Direct Chat with Friends
Direct Chat allows users to chat directly with any other users they have added as friends in the app.

Clients have the option to enable or disable the chat feature. If you turn off the chat feature, users will not be able to send messages or communicate with each other directly in the app.

Reach out to your client success manager or customer support with any questions regarding the chat feature!
